Holy emo-ness! Yes, this is the obligatory post-Deathly Hallows fanart. I did not post a spoiler warning on the image, as this specific scen does NOT actually take place in the book. Spoilers are to follow in the description, however, so be warned.

*SPOILER* (kind of)


I imagined that perhaps Snape, upon hearing about Lily's engagement to that Potter prat, would have made some sort of last ditch effort to win back her friendship, and perhaps her heart along with it. Lily, of course, would be torn up...I imagine she loved him in some hidden, confused part of herself. All the same, she would know that even if she didn't love James, she could never be close to Snape again as long as he held on to his warped beliefs.

The characters Lily Evans and Severus Snape belong to J.K Rowling.....
just thought everyone should know.

This is the best Snape/Lily picture I've seen. :)
I love the contrast of his dark blacks/greys and her livelier green/orange.

Agreed! Although I think Snape would have skulked about a bit more, and tried to unsucessfully communicate through owl post. Wondeful art piece, I adore it.
